How to export WhatsApp chats for printing
A quick, step-by-step guide to exporting WhatsApp conversations so you can turn them into a PrintMyChats book.

Exporting a WhatsApp chat only takes a minute. Once you have the file, you can drop it into PrintMyChats and start designing your book right away.
Step 1: Open the chat you want to export
Choose the individual or group chat you want to print.
Step 2: Use the Export Chat option
On iOS, tap the contact name and scroll to Export Chat. On Android, tap the three-dot menu and choose More > Export chat.
Step 3: Choose without media
If you only need the text messages, select Without Media. You can always add photos later inside PrintMyChats.
Step 4: Send the file to yourself
Email it to yourself or save it to Files/Drive so you can open it on desktop.
Step 5: Import into PrintMyChats
Drag and drop the export file into the editor, then pick a layout and start customizing.
